The National Curriculum Initiative in Developmental Medicine (NCIDM), a multi-year partnership between the American Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry and Special Olympics International, with resources from a cooperative agreement funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is excited to announce our fourth and final cohort of Medical School Partners. These institutions were awarded grant funding for 2020-21. The selected institutions are:

University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine (Iowa City, IA)
Thomas Jefferson University Sidney Kimmel Medical College (Philadelphia, PA)
Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (Athens, OH)
Quinnipiac University Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine (North Haven, CT)
Stony Brook University Renaissance School of Medicine (Stony Brook, NY)
The Cohort 4 Medical School Partners will engage with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and community partners to develop innovative curriculum and educational interventions.
With the addition of this final cohort, NCIDM now includes 18 institutions, which represents 10% of the medical schools in the U.S.
