Coronavirus Impact Advisory - AADMD Conference

Based on current travel advisories there are no plans to postpone or cancel the 2020 One Voice Conference in June in Pittsburgh, PA at this time. AADMD is taking developments concerning coronavirus (Covid-19) very seriously. We are closely monitoring the Pittsburgh Public Safety Department, US Center for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) for information and travel advisories. We will update the advisory regularly to keep conference attendees informed. We will work with health authorities to ensure the highest possible safety for attendees before and during the conference.

DEMENTIA (NTG) Conference-within-a-Conference

Celebrating 10 years of our National Task Group (NTG) on ID & Dementia practices - you may submit a presentation or poster specifically focused on ID and dementia.

The National Task Group will be holding its 7th annual NTG Day Conference on Friday, June 5, 2020, which will be embedded within the AADMD's program (and held June 5-7, 2020 at the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown Hotel).  

Paper and poster proposals are welcome that address any aspects of neuropathologies, including dementia, affecting adults with intellectual disability. 

Topics can include, but are not limited to, assessment, screening, diagnostics, workforce education and training, family concerns and advocacy, planning and public policy, services and individual interventions, administrative issues and challenges, life stories and self-perceptions, health practices, therapeutics, advanced dementia, and end-of-life. 

Both paper and poster proposals are welcome. Submissions must follow the format requirements of the main AADMD program.
