Below are resources recommended by the AADMD.


The ‘NTG’ is a not-for-profit organization charged with ensuring that the interests of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other causes of dementia – as well as their families and friends – are taken into account as part of the National Plan to Address Alzheimer’s Disease.


FRAME is a web-based educational library and resource created by Positive Exposure that changes how medical information is presented to health care professionals in training, clinicians, families and communities.


AADMD worked with FRAME to produce a short video, “Early Onset Alzheimer’s Disease in Adults Living with Down syndrome.”


Alzheimer's Disease in People With Down Syndrome

National Institute on Aging (NIA), one of the 27 Institutes and Centers of NIH, leads a broad scientific effort to understand the nature of aging and to extend the healthy, active years of life. NIA is the primary Federal agency supporting and conducting Alzheimer's disease research.

NIA has many resources on Alzheimer's Disease in People With Down Syndrome.
