Example of what we are looking for: Mary Jones, M.S., is a drama therapist and is currently conducting a research project for a Ph.D on bereavement and people with ID at the University of Central State. In 1997 she founded the Midstate Loss and Bereavement Service, a therapy service for people with intellectual disabilities. Recently she set up the Responders Elder’s Project. Ms. Jones is Deputy CEO of Responders (a charity which provides therapeutic support to people with ID affected by cognitive decline) she is a co-founder of the National Network for the Palliative Care of People with Intellectual Disabilities. She serves on the state dementia resources board in her community.
