NTG November 8th Arlington Meeting

The National Task Group held its second plenary meeting at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City Hotel in Arlington, Virginia, on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 in conjunction with annual meeting of the Association of University Centers on Disabilities. The focus of the meeting was a status review of the work of the NTG and a discussion on its draft report and recommendations. In attendance at the meeting were a number of representatives of federal agencies and national professional and advocacy organizations. The NTG draft summative report was presented and all in attendance had a chance to comment and make suggestions. The draft was approved and a final report version authorized. Discussion also involved other NTG products, advocacy initiatives, and the development of a national training and education program that would be undertaken in 2012. The Association of University Centers on Disabilities was thanked for the use of its conference room for the meeting.
