TALKING GLOSSARY OF GENETIC TERMS from the NIH's National Human Genome Research Institute (good for students, nonscientists, and researchers). In addition to providing a written definition and pronunciation for each word, the glossary also pairs each terms with a researcher in the field, providing a short bio of the scientist and an audio clip of that person explaining the meaning of the term in his/her own words. You may forever find yourself unsatisfied with text-only glossaries. BrainInfo is a wonderful site about various brainy matters. Developed at the University of Washington, but transferred last year to the University of California, at San Diego, BrainInfo provides links to a number of external brain atlases and neuroscience resources, while also hosting some valuable tools of its own. NeuroNames provides an index of brain structures, as well as an entire menu of additional information for each term.
