Many clinicians have heard the quote, "The secret to the care of the patient is in caring for the patient."

Few appreciate or know anything about the physician who first coined that phrase. First published in the 1920's this "lecture" is still as inspiring as it was when Harvard medical students first heard it on October 21, 1926.
