Request for Proposal (RFP) for Evidence-Based Research from Special Hope Foundation (SHF) and the American Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry (AADMD)
"Healthcare Interventions for Adults with Developmental Disabilities: Evidence of Improved Quality and Cost Effectiveness"
The mission of the Special Hope Foundation (SHF) is to promote the establishment of comprehensive healthcare for adults with developmental disabilities (I/DD), designed to address their unique and fundamental needs. We are partnering with the American Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry to promote and improve quality healthcare, as well as advocate for cost effective interventions for adults with I/DD. We both share the belief that further research of cost efficacies will provide evidence from which healthcare providers and payers can base their decisions.
The Research Funding Opportunity This RFP is to study and demonstrate quality and cost efficiencies of "doing things better" for the target population defined as adults with I/DD, which could include transitional youth defined as young adults 18 to 28 years of age. In summary, this RFP is looking for specific advancements and improvements in the quality of care, along with cost effectiveness, for adults with developmental disabilities nationwide.
