MEMO TO AADMD MEMBERS RELATING TO THE UPCOMING NOMINATIONS AND ELECTIONS

To:  Membership of AADMD

RE:  Upcoming Annual meeting in Reno,  Elections

Part of the business of our Annual meeting is to elect the upcoming slate of officers to serve the organization.  Our Bylaws outline the process in which we provide continuity in the leadership and incorporate growth to the organization.
The position of President elect is selected at each meeting and alternates between the physician and dentist member.  The other elected positions are screened through a process of a Nominations committee that “shall be composed of four (4) members: two (2) elected members of the Board of Trustees appointed by the President; a past President; and the Immediate Past President who shall serve as chair”.  The committee is to present to the membership of the slate of elected officers and Board of trustee membership approved by the current Board no later than 30 days prior to the membership meeting.  The general membership will have the opportunity to vote on the slate of officers or add to the nomination from the floor .  Each nomination from the floor shall be accompanied by a signed acceptance from the nominee and written endorsement signed by ten (10) Fellow or Active members.
The voting for officers will be Saturday, May 15th, 2010 at __1 pm______via written ballot.
