As if we needed more reasons to address weight management in individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities this report relates excessive abdominal fat to dementia. With the concerns about dementia and Down Syndrome and the incidence of obesity in this syndrome this article should be of particular interest. And while this study was not specific for ID/ND one can be reasonably assured that the association rings true.
And speaking of dementia and abdominal fat I forgot what I was thinking about.
