Autism Identification & Management

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) will be hosting a free webinar on Autism Identification & Management to provide child health professionals with information and practical strategies for providing a medical home to children with autism spectrum disorders (ASDs). Please join us for this informative session on July 22nd at 12:00 pm EDT (11:00pm CDT, 10:00am MDT, 9:00am PDT). Free copies of the AAP Autism Toolkit will be given away to 200 randomly selected care providers that attend this webinar.

Speakers include:

- Georgina Peacock, MD, MPH, FAAP; CDC/National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities

- Susan Hyman, MD, FAAP; Strong Center for Developmental Disabilities

- Susan E. Levy, MD, FAAP; Department of Pediatrics, University of Pennsylvania

By the end of the webinar, participants will be able to:

- Recognize the early warning signs of ASDs

- Describe the recommendations put forth in the 2 AAP Autism Clinical Reports regarding identification and management of ASDs

- Utilize the AAP Autism Screening Algorithm in office practice

- Identify components of the AAP Autism Toolkit that can be used to assist child health professionals in providing a medical home to children with autism
