The 6th Annual AADMD Educational Conference at the Loews Royal Pacific Resort in Orlando Florida, May 9-12th. Register Now!
The Developmental Disabilities Nurses Association (DDNA) and the American Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry (AADMD) invite you to participate in their joint 2009 Annual Education Conference and Exhibition at Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando® on May 9th - May 12th, 2009. This is DDNA's 17th Annual Conference and AADMD's 6th Annual Conference. Our conference theme is "Enhancing Mind, Body, and Spirit," with DDNA and AADMD collaborating to create a conference that offers a variety of presentations on the latest research and best practices in the clinical care of persons with developmental disabilities. This interdisciplinary conference brings together many hundreds of nurses, physicians, dentists, and other specialists who are on the frontline of clinical care for persons with developmental disabilities. It provides an interdisciplinary forum for the dissemination and exchange of knowledge, ideas, and resources among all participants.
Saturday's Pre-Conference will focus on proven, effective, and sustainable health promotion teaching and programs that can help persons with I/DD to implement changes -- healthy eating, exercise, and social interaction - that will help to maximize wellness today and as they age. On Saturday evening, join colleagues at our Hospitality Reception to welcome new members and reconnect with old friends. Our conference days offer nationally renowned keynote and general session speakers. Also offered are 16 breakout sessions on a variety of topics of importance in I/DD nursing, medicine and dentistry.
Please tell your colleagues about this opportunity where they will be able to network with others who provide medical and dental care to persons with I/DD. This conference has been approved for 21.5 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM per participant, through the University of Louisville School of Medicine. Conference brochures and registration materials will be mailed to AADMD members soon.
